Multi -Purpose Dock

The Gary Paxton Industrial Park is on the verge of becoming substantial economic force in Sitka.  In November of 2016, the City and Borough of Sitka signed a contract for a deep water, multi-purpose dock at the industrial park.  This dock will be an tremendous engine for Sitka's economy and will provide much needed support for the marine industry.  The dock had its grand opening May 2018. Comprehensive Plan

In 2016 the City of Sitka began a Comprehensive Planning process that would create a vision for Sitka for the next 20-30 years.  This plan is designed to guide policymakers when determining community goals and direction.  For more information read SITKA COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 2030.
